JAKARTA - The Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) has imposed strict warning sanctions as well as dismissal from the position of Chairman of the Yapen Islands Regency Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to Hofni Yulius Mandripon in a hearing to read the verdict.

Hofni Yulius Mandripon has the status of Defendant VI in the case with the number 190-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025 which was complained by four complainants, namely Kadir Salwey, Nataniel Wanaribaba,men Simeon Mudumi, and Ribka Karuba.

"Imposing a sanction of Strict Warning and Dismissal from the Chairperson's Position to Defendant VI, Hofni Yulius Mandripon, as Chairman concurrently Member of the Yapen Islands Bawaslu Regency, since this decision was read out," said Chairman of the Ratna Council Dewi Pettalolo in the DKPP Session Room, Jakarta, Monday, November 24, reported by ANTARA.

Hofni was proven to have a close relationship with a woman who became the staff of the Ampimio District Committee who was later seconded at the Bawaslu Secretariat, Yapen Islands Regency.

He is considered to have taken advantage of his position and position authority to approach and stay with the staff's family.

In considering the case decision Number 190-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025, DKPP said Hofni as Chairman of the Yapen Islands Bawaslu Regency had job demands to maintain the dignity and dignity of office, avoid abuse of authority, and ensure that every use of authority was carried out only for the sake of election supervision duties.

"Utilization of positions to build inappropriate personal relationships, let alone live together, shows the potential for abuse of authority and conflicts of interest that cannot be justified in the framework of surveillance tasks," said Ratna Dewi.

DKPP assesses that Hofni's actions have actually violated the principles of integrity, professionalism, and moral exemplary which is the main basis for an election organizer.

Especially when the relationship occurs in the context of position inequality or power, it creates the use of positions for personal gain, damages personal credibility, and injures the honor of the Bawaslu institution.

"Based on the facts of the trial, Teradu VI's actions were an act of utilizing positions that caused vulnerabilities to abuse the authority, undermine public trust, and injure the dignity of the election supervisory agency," he said.

In this trial, DKPP read out the verdicts for three cases, namely the 190-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025 cases, 192-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025, and 194-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025 cases.

This trial was chaired by Ratna Dewi Pettalolo as Chairman of the Council and I Dewa Kade Wiarsa Raka Sandi who acted as Member of the Assembly.

The following is a list of cases decided by the DKPP on November 24, 2025

1. Case number 190-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025:

Five members of Yapen Islands Regency were given warning witnesses, namely Zakeus Rumpedai, Evrida Worembai, Hugo Alvian Im Castration, Ferdinand Yakob Pieter, and Irwansya.

Hofni Yulius Mandripon was dismissed as a member of the Yapen Islands Regency Bawaslu.

Meanwhile, two members of the Yapen Salmon Islands Bawaslu, Robaha and Herold Max Jandeday, were rehabilitated for not being proven to have violated the code of ethics as election organizers.

2. Case Number 192-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025Chairman and Members of Bawaslu, North Nias Regency, namely Yanser Wardin Harefa, San Ristiani Laoli, and Edikania Zega were given warning sanctions.

3. Case Number 194-PKE-DKPP/IX/2025DKPP did not impose a verdict but a decision against Bawaslu Members of Palopo City Ardiansyah Indra Panca Putra, because the complainant withdrew his complaint before the trial was held.
