The West Java Regional Police (West Java Police) have confirmed that they have thoroughly investigated the alleged criminal act of trafficking in persons (TPPO) that ensnared Rizki Nurfadilah, a teenager from Bandung Regency, after being successfully repatriated from Cambodia.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Pol. Hendra Rochmawan, emphasized that his party would take firm action against anyone involved in recruiting and exploiting Rizki.

"The state is here to protect the citizens. We will thoroughly investigate and take firm action against anyone involved in this person's trade network," said Hendra in Bandung, Monday, as quoted by Antara.

Hendra revealed that his party explored the chronology of Rizki's departure to Cambodia, starting from the recruitment process to his alleged involvement in the exploitation network.

"The investigation was carried out to identify the parties who recruited and dispatched the victims," he said.

Hendra also reminded the public not to be easily tempted by foreign work offers without official procedures and legal supervision.

"To provide psychological protection, the police cooperate with professional assistants and prepare temporary placement in the Safe House belonging to the Bandung Regency Social Service," he said.

Head of Public Relations of the Bandung Police, Iptu Opi Taufik, said Rizki arrived in Indonesia on Saturday, November 22 evening with assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) and the Indonesian Embassy team (KBRI) Phnom Penh.

"Saturday, a joint team departed for Jakarta from the Bandung Police Satreskrim together with the West Java Province BP3MI have welcomed Rizki's brother at Soekarno-Hatta Airport with assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team and the Cambodian Indonesian Embassy team," said Opi.

Opi said Rizki was immediately taken to the Bandung Police Headquarters to undergo an examination to find out the chronology of Rizki's departure to Cambodia, including tracing the first party to offer the job.

"Today, Rizki's brother has been subjected to a health check and deepening by the investigators regarding the incident," he said.
