Case Of Alleged Confinement Of Employees At The Bogor Jompo Panti Ends Peacefully

The case of a nursing employee in North Bogor, Bogor City, who was a victim of confinement, was ordered to jump 300 times, ended peacefully.

After the legal case ran a month and ten days at the North Bogor Police, both parties agreed to end it outside the court.

The peace agreement was signed at the North Bogor Police Headquarters, Friday, November 21, 2025, after legal advisors of both parties chose justice restoration.

Father Kristo as the representative of the female family revealed the cause of the alleged confinement. He said the victim was being held captive for jokingly hiding a place to eat belonging to a fellow employee's friend.

Father Yohanes Kristophorus Tara, OFM, representing the families of the victims at the prosperous peaceful foundation on Friday afternoon, said that the mutual agreement for the incident on October 9, 2025, was to agree to make peace after the legal process at the North Bogor Police.

"The report has been withdrawn and there has been recovery. Today is our shared learning, both the foundation and those who work, so that in the future this foundation will become a comfortable place for all residents and workers," said Father Kristo.

Regarding the cause, the problem started with trivial things, joking and hiding places to eat with each other. Apparently, the incident was reported to the leadership (institution management).

"From there, the leadership took action which he said was for coaching, but it turned out to exceed the limits of humanity," said Father Kristo.

"Hopefully in the future no one will be afraid, if you want to work at this foundation," said Romo again.

Father Kristo also expressed his gratitude from the family for the jukum advisory from both parties.

"This is the best way. No one else wants to be disputed. Both parties have reached one word of agreement," he said.

Ardi Susanto and Edu, Ana's attorney, the executor of the foundation, emphasized that both the reporter and the reported party agreed to make peace.

"The problem is clear, the problem is solved and there is no need to argue anymore," he said again.

Valentinus Jandut, and Francisco Tango Kunda, the victim's attorney, said that the problem that occurred one month and 10 days ago was not a misunderstanding but a criminal incident had occurred.

"There are allegations of excessive implementation of the rules, because one of the children looks limp, the road is half dead, because he was told to jump 300 times and be held in his own room. It was an incident that happened," said Valentinus.

However, during the legal process, both the complainant and the reporters agreed to choose RJ (restoration justice), as a way out.

"There is no spirit to punish.

This took place in the peace room, when both parties had intense communication. Make this problem a lesson, to discipline yourself, so that in the future it will be better," he said.

"Whatever it is, future actions, there must be a limit, because there are legal rules that regulate it. For victims, hopefully in the future, they can work even better," he hoped.

North Bogor Police Chief, AKP Enjo Sutarjo welcomed the peace between the complainant and the reported party.

"Yes, related to that the case is being handled. The victim has reported it, his report (related to) the alleged confinement. If there is no persecution, there is no (report) persecution," said AKP Enjo.

The victim of confinement with the initials MA who was present and handled peace at the North Bogor Police, admitted that he received the results that his lawyer had achieved.

"Yes, my friend and I were sentenced to 300 jumps and I was held captive for two days by the foundation management. Now we agree to make peace," he said.

In this case, the police have examined more than eight people as witnesses, including Mrs. Ana, the foundation's manager.
