DIY Prosecutor's Office Searches Tegalrejo's BUKP Office For Corruption Cases

The investigation team of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) searched the office of the Rural Credit Business Entity (BUKP) of Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta City to complete the investigation into the alleged corruption in the management of the institution's finances.

The Head of Legal Information for the DIY Prosecutor's Office, Herwatan, said the search took place on Wednesday (19/11) based on a Letter of Determination of the Search Permit for the Yogyakarta District Court and a Search Order for the Head of the DIY Prosecutor's Office.

"Investigators have searched all rooms at the Tegalrejo BUKP Office," said the court as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, November 20.

Herwatan explained that the search took place from 09.00 WIB to 11.40 WIB, covering the entire office of BUKP Tegalrejo, Yogyakarta City.

During the process, investigators confiscated a number of documents that were strongly suspected of being related to alleged irregularities in financial management.

According to Herwatan, the search was conducive, witnessed by related parties in the local office environment.

Previously, the DIY Prosecutor's Office had investigated allegations of corruption in irregularities in financial management at the Tegalrejo Kemantren BUKP.

At the investigation stage, investigators found a difference in savings, deposits and credit as of July 29, 2025, worth IDR 2,567,668,770.

The findings were then followed up by increasing the status of the case to the investigation stage on October 6, 2025 based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the DIY High Prosecutor's Office.

Herwatan said the alleged state loss in the case reached billions of rupiah.

"DIY Attorney General's Office investigators have submitted a calculation of state losses to the DIY Inspectorate," he said.

He emphasized that investigators were still gathering evidence before closing into the conclusion of the determination of the suspect.
