2 Members Of Satpol PP Arrested By Police For Ecstasy

TANJUNGPINANG - Tanjungpinang Police, Riau Islands (Kepri), arrested two members of the local Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) for being involved in drug abuse of the type of ecstasy.

Head of the Tanjungpinang Police Narcotics Unit (Kasat) AKP Lajun Siado Rio Sianturi said the two perpetrators of the Satpol PP, each with the initials SB (33) and RA (33), were arrested along with a civilian with the initials RF (22), on November 11, 2025.

"They were arrested in three different places, namely in Bugis Village, Ganet and Tanjungpinang Sea Bank," Rio said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 17.

Rio explained that the drug abuse case involving two government employees with a work agreement (PPPK) within the Tanjungpinang City Government was revealed after his staff arrested the suspect RF with a total evidence of four ecstasy pills weighing 1.38 grams.

From the results of the examination, he said, the suspect RF admitted that he had sold a number of ecstasy pills to the suspect SB, who was an employee of the Tanjungpinang Satpol PP.

After developing further cases, the police also succeeded in arresting SB and RA, with a total of four ecstasy items.

According to Rio, the suspect SB acted as an intermediary for the delivery of ecstasy from RF to RA, and received a salary of Rp. 100,000 per ecstasy.

"Two suspects, RF and SB are dealers and sellers of ecstasy. Meanwhile, RA is indicated as only users," he said.

The Tanjungpinang Police Narcotics Unit is currently still investigating the perpetrators suspected of supplying the ecstasy drugs to the suspect RF.

The results of the police investigation, said Rio, the suspect RF received ecstasy from someone with the initials MK.

"We are still hunting for the Constitutional Court, the perpetrators who allegedly handed over ecstasy to RF," he said.

He said that over the past three weeks, his party had succeeded in arresting eight suspects of drug abuse in the Tanjungpinang area.

The police confiscated evidence in the form of 207.67 grams of crystal methamphetamine, then 21 ecstasy pills weighing 9.48 grams. Meanwhile, the perpetrators have been detained at the Tanjungpinang Police Headquarters to undergo further legal proceedings.
