JAKARTA - Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the explosion on the railway line linking the capital Warsaw to the city of Lublin in southeastern Poland was an act of sabotage.
"Unfortunately, the worst concern has been proven," Tusk said in a post on X on Monday, November 17.
The explosion destroyed the railway line. But Tusk did not name the suspect or potential motive behind the alleged sabotage.
"Emergency services and prosecutors are working at the scene," said Tusk.
"On the same route, closer to Lublin, damage has also been identified," he continued.

"There is no doubt that we are facing sabotage," Kierwinski wrote.
"Another part of this strategic railway line, where the rail is damaged, is also being investigated," he added.
Polish police said the damage was discovered during an inspection on Sunday morning after a train driver reported irregularities.
