JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said 75 percent of schools throughout Indonesia had received interactive flat panels (IFP) or smartboards.

During the launch of the Digitalization of Learning for Smart Indonesia at SMP Negeri 4 Bekasi City, West Java, today, Prabowo said that the interactive panel had been received by 173,000 schools throughout Indonesia.

"Today we inaugurate the program in digitalization learning, where we have achieved quite a lot of achievements, 75 percent of all schools throughout Indonesia have received interactive panels," Prabowo said as quoted by Antara, Monday, November 17.

Prabowo said this was a good start so that children throughout Indonesia could get the best quality education.

He also emphasized that Indonesia should not be left behind in terms of education by other countries. According to him, the use of technology is one of the important steps to make the quality of education in Indonesia superior.

"No part of Indonesia should be left behind, the quality of education must be the same good and one of our ways is to use the leap of digitalization technology," said Prabowo.

The provision of interactive flat panels (IFP) or smartboards in schools is in line with Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025 concerning the revitalization of education units, the development of superior schools, to the acceleration of learning digitization.

The smartboard features virtual distance learning, by presenting a teacher who can interact directly with his students to guide the learning process.

The government targets that each class will have a smartboard as a standard facility. This year, around 288,000 IFP units are scheduled to be sent to 330 thousand schools in all regions in Indonesia.

The device delivery process is reported to have reached 215,572 units, with 172,550 of them arriving at schools and 43,022 others still on their way. The government targets all these devices to be fully available at recipient schools by December 2025.
