JAKARTA - Member of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Nuchbatillah, highlighted the importance of accuracy in land administration at the village level. He specifically asked sub-district offices to be more careful in recording and verifying land documents, especially Letter C, which is the basis for land ownership administration.

According to Nuchbatillah, the accuracy of the regional apparatus is the main key to preventing land disputes that have recently appeared, especially in densely populated settlements of the capital.

"The kelurahan as the front line must be more observant and really know the recorded locations," said Nuchbatillah to reporters, Monday, November 17, 2025.

He considered that the difference in administrative data and field conditions was often the main trigger for disputes between residents. Therefore, Nuchbatillah emphasized the need for the involvement of Neighborhood Associations (RT) and Citizens Associations (RW) in checking documents, ensuring that the location of the recorded land is really appropriate.

"It must be clear there. Information can be obtained from land owners, RT, and RW," he added.

Residents Are Reminded To Check Villages For Girik Land

In addition to asking for the accuracy of the apparatus, this PKS politician also warned residents not to rush into buying and selling land, especially land whose status is still girik or not certified.

The initial check at the kelurahan office was considered by Nuchbatillah as an absolute requirement before the payment or sale and purchase agreement was made.

"If the girik has not become a certificate, it must come to the village," said Nuchbatillah.

Detailed checks, ranging from location points to ownership history, are also considered vital. He asked residents to ensure that all supporting documents are complete and in accordance with local environmental data.

Certified Land Still Mandatory Verification To BPN

Meanwhile, for land that has been certified, Nuchbatillah appealed to potential buyers to continue to verify with the National Land Agency (BPN). This step is important to ensure that certificates owned are valid and land objects have no problems or overlap.

"If it is a certificate, prospective buyers must go to BPN. Check the certificate and location," he said.

Nuchbatillah even encourages buyers to ask BPN to re-measure if there is any doubt. This method is considered effective in avoiding unilateral claims or overlapping land boundaries.

"If necessary, ask for a re-measurement by BPN to clarify whether the object is really clear and clean," he added.
