Today's DPR Agenda Discusses Police Reform To Revision Of Copyright Law

JAKARTA - The House of Representatives (DPR) held a number of important agendas on Thursday, November 13 which included work meetings (rakers), public hearings (RDPU), and public dialogue.

Strategic issues, such as Polri reform, revision of the Copyright Law, the Criminal Procedure Code Bill, energy and oil and gas policies, to the evaluation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program are in the main spotlight on today's parliamentary agenda.

At 10.00 WIB, the Legislation Body (Baleg) of the DPR held a plenary meeting of RDPU with VNT Networks, PAPPRI, and the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN).

This agenda discusses the harmonization of the Draft Law on Amendments to Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright.

This meeting is important to adjust copyright regulations with the development of the creative industry and digital technology that continues to grow.

In parallel, Commission III of the DPR held a Working Committee (Panja) meeting of the Criminal Procedure Code Bill to observe the clusters of articles as a result of the technical team, timus, and timsin preparations.

The discussion will continue at the afternoon session at 13.00 WIB, as part of the DPR's commitment to strengthen the national criminal procedural legal system.

Commission VII of the House of Representatives held a hearing (RDP) with the Director General of Small, Medium, and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) and a number of industrial associations.

The discussion focused on the policy of increasing the competitiveness of the national industry which was continued at 14.00 WIB with the Director General of KPAII and related partners.

Meanwhile, the health sector is an important concern for Commission IX of the DPR. In the morning, the JKN Panja discussed the governance of the National Health Insurance (JKN) with the Ministry of Health, BPJS Kesehatan, ADINKES, ASKLIN, ARRSSI, PERSI, ARSADA, and APKESMI.

In the afternoon at 13.00 WIB, Commission IX held a working meeting with the minister of health, DJSN, Dewas BPJS, and the Managing Director of BPJS Kesehatan to discuss the evaluation of JKN sustainability, adjustment of contributions, and equitable distribution of national health services.

Energy issues are also a big spotlight for Commission XII of the DPR. Today, Commission XII of the DPR held two important meetings, namely in the morning with the Director General of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, SKK Migas, governors of East Kalimantan and West Papua, as well as large oil and gas companies, such as PT PHE, BP Berau, RH Petrogas, and Eni Muara Bakau BV. to discuss participating interest (PI) for oil and gas producing areas.

In the afternoon, the RDP was continued with the Acting Director General of Electricity, PT PLN Indonesia Power, and PT Nusantara Power to discuss the energy transition strategy and decarbonization of national power plants.

From the financial sector, Commission XI of the DPR continued the 2026 RATBI Operational Budget Expenditure Committee in the morning.

Then at 16.00 WIB, a working meeting was held with the governor of Bank Indonesia to make a decision regarding the 2026 BI Annual Budget Plan (RATBI).

This afternoon at 13.00 WIB, Commission V of the DPR held a working meeting with the minister of housing and residential areas.

The agenda includes evaluating the implementation of the 2025 State Budget until November and discussing the program plan for the 2026 fiscal year.

To conclude the agenda of the DPR today, the Parliamentary Journalists' Office (KWP) held a discussion on democratic dialects with the theme Reformation of the Police: Hope Towards Professional and Humanist Law Enforcement Institutions". The speakers who attended included Deputy Chief of Police, Komjen Dedi Prasetyo, Head of the National Police Reform Team Prof. Jimly Asshiddiqie, to public policy observer Trubus Rahardiansyah.
