JAKARTA Horizon University Indonesia inaugurated a new building as high as 10 floors. The building, which is the tallest university building in Karawang, West Java, marks the institution's commitment to providing quality and affordable education for the people of Indonesia.
The inauguration was held to coincide with the commemoration of Heroes' Day, Monday, November 10. This momentum also respects the struggle of students who continue to strive for higher education in the midst of various limitations.
The new building will increase the capacity of universities to serve 7,000 additional students. This number is coupled with nearly 3,000 students who are currently registered so that the total capacity reaches 10,000 students.
Chairman of the Triputra Persada Foundation Horizon Education Ade Hendriawan stated that the 10-story building is a symbol of institutional commitment. According to him, the inauguration of the new building marks a new chapter of Horizon University's journey in Karawang.
"This new 10-story building stands as a strong symbol of the commitment, a clear proof of the spirit of unquenched change, our belief in the potential of every young person, and our unshakable determination to serve more students and communities," said Ade.
He added that this expansion strengthens the university's goal of forming a new generation of "Global Indonesian" who are ready to work, lead, and make meaningful contributions wherever they are. The growth in the number of students, which has almost tripled in the last five years, shows the family's trust in their child's future.
Chairman of the PHINMA Education Ramon R del Rosario Jr stressed that the new building represents the desire to give the best to students. He explained that Horizon Education continues to strive to see beyond the horizon by believing in the infinite potential of each individual.
"This building is also a representation of our sincere desire to give the best for our students, because they deserve the best from education," Ramon said.
Ramon said that Horizon University believes in the potential of every student, from wherever they come and no matter how heavy the burden they bear. Many of the students were the first people in a family to receive higher education.
"Some work while studying, others help support their families, but they keep moving forward. They deserve every opportunity to finish college," he said.
To support the success of students, universities build a culture of concern and support. The coaches, advisors, and staff walked with each student throughout their educational journey.
"At Horizon, coaching is not just a program, but a mindset. Our mission is not only to provide access, but to ensure that every student completes his study program and achieves success in life," Ramon added.
Horizon University shows a real academic advantage through partnerships with Triputra Group and Persada Capital as industry partners, as well as the PHINMA Education as academic partners. The university achieved a 100 percent graduation rate in the Obstetrics and Nursing program, as well as 98 percent in the Nurses' Professional.
This achievement was strengthened by the acceptance of the Best Passing Rate Award for the 2025 Indonesian Nurses Competency Test last October. This award shows the consistency and strength of the nursing program on Horizon Education.
"This milestone reflects our shared commitment to our excellence and belief that every student, wherever they come from, can achieve their full potential," Ramon said.
The absorption rate of graduates is also high, with 100 percent of IT graduates and 85 percent of applied health graduates getting jobs. Overall, the employment absorption rate reached 86 percent, with most graduates getting jobs within three months of graduation.
Country Head of Indonesia, PHINMA Education Dr Raymundo Reyes explained the university's future plans. After serving West Java through Karawang and Jakarta, the next step is expansion to East Java.

The university, he continued, will also strengthen the Health Sciences, Business, and Information Technology programs, as well as immediately introduce new programs in the fields of Education, Communication and Psychology.
Deputy President Commissioner of Triputra Group Hadi Kasim said that the inauguration of the new building strengthens joint missions to make life better through education. He stressed that the building is more than just physical infrastructure.
"This building is not just a classroom and halls, this is a place where dreams will be formed, potential will grow, and a new generation of Global Indonesian will be born," said Hadi.
