President Prabowo Flies To Australia, Discusses Economic And Industrial Cooperation With PM Albanese

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto left for Sydney, Australia, via Halim Perdanakusuma Airbase, Jakarta, Tuesday afternoon, to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said the one-day working visit would be filled with a tribute-t leastte meeting or a four-eye between President Prabowo and PM Albanese.

President Prabowo left for Sydney. During the one-day visit, the President is scheduled to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, "said Teddy, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 11.

In addition to meeting PM Albanese, President Prabowo is also scheduled to attend a state ceremony chaired by Australian Governor General Sam Mostyn, as well as attend a number of other meetings that discuss cooperation in trade, investment, education, and industrial partnerships.

Teddy said the visit was a return visit to PM Albanese's arrival to Jakarta in May 2025, the day after he was re-elected as Australian Prime Minister.

Also accompanying President Prabowo on a flight to Sydney were Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Foreign Minister Sugiono said that the meeting between Prabowo and Albanese would focus on strengthening economic cooperation and inter-community relations between the two countries.

For the record, PM Anthony Albanese previously visited Indonesia on May 14, 2025 to hold a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo, making Indonesia the first country he visited after being re-elected as head of the Australian government.

Before continuing the agenda to Australia, President Prabowo has also just completed a series of international activities, including attending the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (26 28 October), and the APEC 2025 Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea (30 October 1 November).
