BLORA - The Government of Blora Regency, Central Java, has taken firm steps against the case of bullying in a junior high school by moving four students suspected of being involved in other schools.

This policy is carried out to maintain a conducive atmosphere and to be part of efforts to foster students.

Head of the Blora District Education Office, Sunaryo, said the decision was made based on a joint agreement between the perpetrator's parents and the victim, the school, the police, and related agencies.

The move of four students is carried out so that the teaching and learning process remains conducive. This has been agreed upon with all parties. We have also assigned school supervisors to provide psychological assistance to victims and perpetrators," he said in Blora, Antara, Tuesday, November 11.

He emphasized that the transfer of students was not a form of punishment, but coaching so that they could improve themselves in the new environment.

"We hope that the new atmosphere can help these children get better. If you stay at school at first, it is feared that the victim will be more traumatized," he said.

The local Education Office is currently preparing a character coaching program in all educational units to prevent similar cases from happening again.

The principal at the scene said that the decision to transfer four students was taken after the family mediation process involving teachers, parents, the police, the Education Office, and community leaders.

The four students who were transferred consisted of two suspected provocateurs, one video recorder, and one main actor. Two of them were in grade 7, the other two in grade 9, while the victim was a grade 8 student. The incident occurred last Friday during rest hours.

The principal also apologized for the incident that tarnished the good name of the school.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Blora Regency Social, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service (Dinsos P3A) Luluk Kusuma Agung Ariadi said that his party had prepared psychological assistance for victims and perpetrators.

"We will provide ongoing assistance so that the development of children's behavior and mentality can be monitored properly," he said.

He emphasized that the approach taken was educative and rehabilitative, not punishing.

"Hopefully, these children can return to focus on education and grow up with better characters," said Luluk.
