KPK Brings Ponorogo Regent To Jakarta This Saturday

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it had secured the Regent of Ponorogo Sugiri Sancoko and was brought to Jakarta this morning. The KPK also arrested the Regional Secretary (Sekda) to the President Director of the RSUD in Hand Catch Operation (OTT) on Friday, November 7.

"The parties who were secured and taken to Jakarta this morning were the Regent, Regional Secretary, Director of the Regional Hospital, Head of Mutation of the Regional Secretariat, and 3 private parties. One of them is the Regent's younger brother," said the KPK spokesman, Budi Prasetyo, in his statement, Saturday, November 8.

According to information, as many as six people arrived at the Red and White Building this morning. One of them is Sugiri, who arrived at 08.10 WIB wearing a black shirt.

Sebelumnya, KPK mengatakan pihak yang diamankan dalam operasi tangkap tangan (OTT) di wilayah Provinsi Jawa Timur akan dibawa ke Jakarta pada Sabtu, 8 November. Salah satunya adalah Bupati Ponorogo Sugiri Sancoko.

“Pihak-pihak yang diamankan, rencana dibawa ke Jakarta besok. Salah satunya Bupati,” kata Juru Bicara KPK Budi Prasetyo kepada wartawan, Jumat, 7 November malam.

Budi belum memerinci waktu pasti kapan pihak yang terjerat OTT tiba. Tapi, berdasarkan perkembangan terakhir Sugiri tiba di gedung Merah Putih KPK, Kuningan Persada, Jakarta Selatan pada Sabtu pagi hari.

Ia bersama pihak yang diamankan akan menjalani pemeriksaan intensif. Adapun komisi antirasuah saat ini punya waktu 1x24 jam untuk menentukan status para pihak yang diamankan.

"The parties who were arrested are planned to be brought to Jakarta tomorrow. One of them is the Regent," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, November 7 evening.

Budi has not specified the exact time when the parties involved in the OTT arrived. However, based on Sugiri's latest developments, he arrived at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Saturday morning.

He and those who are secured will undergo an intensive examination. The anti-corruption commission currently has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the arrested parties.
