Ade Armando: I Withdraw Support If Jokowi Is Proven To Be Corruption & Fake Certificate

JAKARTA - Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician, Ade Armando said he would withdraw his statement of support to former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) if he was proven corrupt or guilty in a fake diploma case. He considered that the act could not be tolerated so that it would change his perspective on the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"If it is proven that his diploma is fake, I will say, I regret that all this time he (Jokowi) believed in him (Jokowi), it turns out that he lied. And because of that, my perspective will change which (formerly I said) 'living to Jokowi' will no longer be there, I will withdraw that sentence. Likewise, if he is corrupt, I will withdraw my support for him,' Ade said while talking to Eddy Wijaya on the EdShareOn podcast which aired on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

According to Ade, the statement was deliberately conveyed to prove his seriousness in defending the biological father of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. According to Ade, his support for Jokowi was based on the belief that the former governor of Jakarta was not corrupt and involved in fake diplomas. "I am one of many people who are loyal to Pak Jokowi, and we can be called hardliners, yes, hardline. Of course, the word living' is like this, if necessary we have to fight to lose our lives to win Mr. Jokowi, of course," he said.

The defamation case related to the alleged fake diploma of President Joko Widodo has continued to hold in the community for the last few years. Even a number of parties who made the allegations have been questioned at the Polda Metro Jaya. Ade Armando is Jokowi's camp who visited the National Police Headquarters to ask Polda Metro Jaya to thoroughly investigate the case.

Ade explained that Jokowi is one of the nation's leaders who deserves support because he is able to answer the problems that occur in Indonesia. PSI politician, Ade Armando, rejected the news that President Prabowo Subianto deliberately removed state officials from Jokowi's supporters in his government through a cabinet reshuffle. "It's reshuffled because it's worth it. I think everyone will agree with the decision to dismiss a number of these ministers. It's not important that he came from Jokowi's camp or not," said Ade to Eddy Wijaya.

The politician who was born in Jakarta, September 24, 1961, explained that the issue of Prabowo removing Jokowi's people was deliberately created by certain parties to damage the relationship between Prabowo and Jokowi.'
