Tomorrow The Funeral Of The King Of Solo Paku Buwono XIII, Bantul Police Prepare 230 Personnel

JAKARTA - The Bantul Resort Police (Polres) has alerted 230 personnel to secure the funeral procession of the King of the Solo Palace, Sri Susuhunan Paku Buwono XIII who will be buried at the Tomb of the Kings of Imogiri, Bantul Regency tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5.

"We dispatched about 230 personnel to provide security, both to secure the route, escort the bodies to the Tomb of the King-king of Imogiri, to the funeral procession," said Head of Public Relations of the Bantul Police, Iptu Rita Hidayanto in Bantul, Tuesday, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the security personnel for the funeral of the King of the Solo Palace in Imogiri Bantul are joint personnel from the Bantul Police and the Sector Police (Polsek) ranks.

"Hundreds of police personnel will be held starting from the route around Ring Road Timur Banguntapan, Jalan Imogiri Timur to the burial site to the removal of the coffin," he said.

The Head of Public Relations said that the security measures were taken to anticipate the large crowds because of the enthusiasm of the people who wanted to witness the funeral procession of the King of the Solo Palace.

"We are also alerting health personnel from the Bantul Police Sidokkes to anticipate things that are not desirable," he said.

Previously, sad news came from the Surakarta Kasunanan Palace. Sri Susuhunan Paku Buwono (PB) XIII, king of the Solo Palace, reportedly passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 morning, at the age of 77 years.

Based on the information gathered, PB XIII was declared dead at the Indriati Hospital in Solobaru Sukoharjo at 07.29 WIB. His departure became a big loss for the people of Java, especially the courtiers and the extended family of the Surakarta Palace.
