The DKI Regional Budget Has Decreased To IDR 81 Trillion Due To DBH Cuts, But The DPRD Proposes An Increase Of IDR 550 Billion

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD proposed an additional budget of IDR 550 billion in the 2026 DKI Regional Budget draft. This proposal came after the DPRD's Budget Agency (Banggar) followed up on a decrease in the APBD value from IDR 95.93 trillion to IDR 81.28 trillion due to cuts in profit-sharing funds (DBH) from the central government.

Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Khoirudin, said that Banggar was still remapping the budget allocation after the cuts. However, in the midst of the reduction, several urgent needs in the field made a number of commissions apply for additional budgets.

From the reduction of DBH to Rp81.29 trillion, of course, there will be changes. That's why we will make sure where the changes are. But there are some changes, yes, in Commission A there are changes, in Commission B there are also changes, because the analysis in the field with SKPD turns out to be a very, very urgent budget that needs to be made," Khoirudin told reporters, Friday, October 31.

According to him, the additional Rp550 billion was directed to realize the results of the recess of council members which were directly related to the needs of the people in the region.

"(The increase) is to realize the results of the recess of all council members. Because this is a community need. For example, environmental roads, waterways, street lights, then there is a funeral. Now the funeral is full. This is the community. If we need a funeral, we have to find a solution," he explained.

Khoirudin emphasized that the DPRD does not want the decline in DBH to have an impact on reducing major public services in Jakarta. Assistance programs such as the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU), transportation services, and environmental programs will be maintained.

"I have to make sure that community services cannot change, they cannot be reduced. KJP, KJMU, transportation, then environmental services, don't change. And thank God it hasn't changed," he added.

The DKI Provincial Government and the DKI Jakarta DPRD previously planned the Jakarta APBD next year with a nominal jumbo amount of IDR 95.35 trillion.

However, recently the Ministry of Finance cut the transfer funds to the regions (TKD) including DBH by Rp. 15 trillion to only Rp. 11 trillion. This figure decreased by 59.47 percent compared to 2025 with a value of Rp. 27.5 trillion. Therefore, next year's projected DKI APBD had to be reduced to Rp. 81.28 trillion.
