JAKARTA - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto arrived at Gimhae Airbase, Busan, Republic of Korea, at 22.20 local time or 20.20 WIB, Thursday, October 30. His arrival marked the beginning of a series of state visits in order to attend the 2025 APEC Summit which will take place in Gyeongju from 31 October to 1 November 2025.

Arriving at Busan, Prabowo was greeted by a number of high-ranking South Korean officials, including Defense Acquisition Minister Major General (Ret.) Seok Jong Gun, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Deputy Mayor of Gyeongju Song Ho-Jun, Indonesian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Cecep Herawan, and the Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul Colonel Pnb Muhammad Arief.

The APEC 2025 Summit carries the theme Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper. This forum will highlight various important issues such as trade and investment facilitation, increased connectivity between citizens (people to people connection), accelerating digital and economic transitions. sustainable, strengthening MSMEs and vulnerable groups, as well as responding to demographic changes in the Asia Pacific region.

Indonesia's presence in this forum is an important momentum to strengthen the position and contribution of the state in encouraging inclusive, balanced, and sustainable regional development.
