Ministry Of Public Works Audit 80 Ponpes That Is Conducting Development

Deputy Minister of Public Works (Wamen PU) Diana Kusumastuti revealed that the Ministry of Public Works conducted an audit of Islamic boarding schools (ponpes) that were carrying out construction.

"Currently, the Ministry of Public Works will conduct an audit of the Islamic boarding schools that are currently carrying out construction," Diana said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 29.

The Ministry of Public Works is currently conducting an audit of the boarding school building. The Directorate General of Human Settlements said that personnel had been deployed.

Diana said that currently there are 80 boarding schools identified by the Directorate General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works.

"There are 80 Islamic boarding schools that have been identified by friends from the Directorate General of Human Settlements," he said again.

The Ministry of Public Works conducts a review as part of the government's move to check the feasibility of building buildings related to the reliability and safety of Islamic boarding schools in various regions.

Mainly, are buildings that are over 100 years old and have more than 1,000 students and have 4 floors of buildings.

Building checks other than the reliability of buildings also pay attention to aspects of the addition of buildings in Islamic boarding schools.

Minister of PUDOdy Hanggodo expressed his support by deploying a team from the ranks of the Directorate General of Human Settlements which has spread throughout Indonesia.

The Ministry of Public Works also encourages the improvement of the quality of human resources in the construction sector, including for students in Islamic boarding schools through the Terampil Construction Manpower Training and Competency Test program.

The Construction Manpower Competency Training and Test Program is a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's direction so that students get basic knowledge or skills briefing in the field of construction and civil engineering.

It is hoped that when there are development activities in their respective boarding schools, the students who play a role in the development process have basic building skills and construction work safety.
