Police Raid 3 Locations Of Drug Transactions In Central Lombok, Dozens Of Residents Arrested

A joint team from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police and the Central Lombok Police raided three locations suspected of being places for drug transactions in Lekor Village, Janapria District, Wednesday, October 29 in the morning.

"Yes, that's right, we have carried out an ambush related to a drug case in the Lekor Village area," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Lalu Brata Kusnadi when contacted in Central Lombok, Antara, Wednesday, October 29.

During the operation, the police arrested dozens of residents suspected of being involved in drug trafficking in the area. However, the exact number is still waiting for the results of further investigations.

"The number that has been secured cannot be conveyed, because an examination is being carried out for further legal proceedings," he said.

In addition to securing the alleged perpetrators, the police also confiscated a number of evidences, including drugs, cell phones, and vehicles used in these illegal activities.

"For the total evidence, data collection is also being carried out. We will officially convey it after the examination process is complete," he added.

According to Brata, the raid began with information from the public who reported suspicious activities in three locations that were often used as places for drug transactions.

Following up on the report, the joint team carried out investigations and ambushes to uncover drug trafficking networks in the area.

"Members are still working on the investigation. Later we will convey the official release so that the data is not wrong, how many suspects and the evidence confiscated," said Brata.

Operasi gabungan ini melibatkan 200 personel, terdiri dari anggota Brimob, Satresnarkoba Polres Lombok Tengah, dan Polda NTB. Kapolres Lombok Tengah AKBP Eko Yusmiarto juga turut turun langsung memimpin jalannya operasi.

This joint operation involved 200 personnel, consisting of members of Brimob, the Central Lombok Police Narcotics Unit, and the NTB Police. Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Eko Yusmiarto also directly led the operation.
