3 Officials Of Perumda Tirta, Bengkulu City, Become Suspects Of Gratification 117 People

JAKARTA - The Bengkulu Provincial Police (Polda) examined a number of witnesses for alleged corruption in the management of freelance daily employees (PHL) at the Regional Public Company (Perumda) Tirta Hidayah Bengkulu City for the period 2023 to May 2025

"Corruption investigators have again summoned witnesses who have previously been examined for three people who have been named as suspects," said Head of Public Relations of the Bengkulu Police, Kombes Pol Andy Pramudya Wardana, in Bengkulu, Tuesday, confiscated by Antara.

Investigators have named and detained three suspects in the alleged corruption case, namely SB Director of Perumda Tirta Hidayah, YP Head of General Section for the April 2022-July 2024 period, and EH Head of Subdivision for Substitution of Water Meters Perumda Tirta Hidayah Bengkulu City as well as broker for PHL acceptance.

Evidence of investigation found that the three people received bribes and gratuities from 117 people. After receiving the money, the Board of Directors of Perumda Tirta Hidayah issued a task order (SPT) and appointed 117 people to become PHL.

In the calculation, investigators found gratuities from PHL revenues worth Rp9.5 billion, and potential state losses of Rp5.5 billion.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Regional Police again summoned several further witnesses regarding the development of the case of Perumda Tirta Hidayah, including the Head of Economics of the Bengkulu City Government as well as the Supervisory Board (Dewas) of Perumda Tirta Hidayah, as well as PHL.

Head of Sub-Directorate for Tipidkor Polda Bengkulu Kompol. Muhammad Syahir Fuad Rangkuti said he had examined 170 witnesses.

"Of course the investigation process continues, we will re-examine a number of witnesses, ask for prayers from all of them so that this case is clear. Regarding involvement and people who will be suspected of not closing the possibility will increase," he said.
