After The Regional Government, Minister Of Finance Purbaya Demanded To Reveal Funds In Ministries And State Institutions

JAKARTA Founder of Indonesia Policy Review, Aliza Gunado, requested that the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadive also disclose the deposits of funds of every ministry and state institution in banking as well as those of local governments.

"The Minister of Finance should not stop only depositing regional funds, it is also necessary to disclose deposits of funds in every ministry and state institution," he said in a written statement, Sunday, October 26.

According to him, the disclosure of fund deposits in every government institution is important in ensuring transparency.

Thus, the goal of finding loopholes for fraud and leakage can be maximized.

"No less important is that there needs to be a system that can immediately cover the potential for leaks in the center and region systematically and permanently," Aliza added.

He stated that the issue of fund deposits in various regions could not be separated from the implementation of a nationally clean government.

Therefore, the central policy to limit Transfers to Regions (TKD) is a preventive measure to minimize leakage.

Previously, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadives said that his party noted that local government funds that were still stored in banks reached Rp233.11 trillion as of August 2025.

This figure increased compared to the previous month of IDR 219.8 trillion.

Purbaya menegaskan, lambatnya penyerapan anggaran ini akan berdampak langsung pada daya beli masyarakat.

“Kalau dana mengendap, fiskal daerah mungkin aman, tapi, daya beli masyarakat akan turun, dan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) akan sulit meningkat,” kata dia.

Purbaya emphasized that the slow absorption of this budget will have a direct impact on people's purchasing power.

"If funds settle, regional fiscals may be safe, but, people's purchasing power will decrease, and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) will be difficult to increase," he said.
