The selection of candidates for members of the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of North Kalimantan Province has entered a crucial stage.

A total of 29 participants took a psychological test held at the CAT Laboratory of the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of Kaltara, in collaboration with a team of experts from Hasanuddin University (Unhas), Friday, October 24.

Chairman of the KPID Kaltara Selection Committee (Pansel), Jufri, said this test was an important step in assessing the personality, integrity, and collaboration skills of candidates for regional broadcast commissioners.

"Of the 30 participants who passed the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) stage, one person was not present, so only 29 participants continued to the psychological stage," said Jufri.

Our message is simple, do things with focus and calm. This test not only measures intelligence, but also the ability of clear thinking and public ethics," he continued.

Jufri said that the psychological test results are expected to be able to fully describe the personality of the participants.

"We want to ensure that KPID Kaltara members will not only be intelligent, but also have a mature attitude and work ability under pressure," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Technical Implementation Team from the Psychology Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine Unhas, Ikhlas Nanang Avanti, explained that this test was carried out independently with the blind review principle. This means that the test team does not know the identity of the participants during the assessment process.

Our test was designed for two days because the components were complex: integrity, communication ability, leadership, and collaboration. We don't just judge answers, but also behavior and attitudes during the process," explained Ikhlas.

He explained that processing the test results took time because each result would be analyzed in depth in the psychological laboratory. We assess many aspects, including how participants solve problems, respond to pressure, and respect other people's opinions," he said.

On the second day, participants will take part in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme about the dynamics of the broadcasting world. In the forum, participants were tested in solving problems and building public arguments in a healthy manner.

"From the FGD, it will be seen who really has a leader attitude, respects differences, and is able to work as a team," said Ikhlas.

He emphasized that this test is not just looking for someone who is smart, but a figure who is ethical and has a public spirit.

"Being a member of the KPID means being a scorekeeper in the public broadcasting room. Integrity and honesty are the main conditions," he said.
