Amazing! Four Prisoners Escaped During Trial At The Cirebon District Court

The four detainees of the Cirebon City District Attorney's Office (Kejari) escaped from the male detention room at the Cirebon City District Court (PN), West Java, Wednesday, October 22. They fled allegedly by breaking into the bathroom ceiling while waiting for their turn to go to trial.

The incident immediately panicked security officers and court visitors. A number of employees from the Cirebon District Court and the Cirebon Kejari immediately rushed out of the building, trying to catch up with escaped prisoners. Three prisoners were arrested again, while another one is still at large.

"I was waiting for the trial, suddenly it was crowded. In front of the post, one detainee had been arrested who had escaped," said a court visitor with the initials F after witnessing the arrests of the escaped prisoners.

According to him, one detainee who was caught was still wearing a typical prisoner's batik shirt, while the other two had changed clothes.

Some were arrested when they were about to cross in front of the District Court. He said there were still several other detainees who escaped, so the officers immediately spread again," he added.

Cirebon City Kejari security officer, Usman Sumantri admitted that he also arrested one detainee who fled towards Jalan Wahidin. "I caught him in front of the SSB restaurant," he said.

He said the detainees who were arrested had been hiding in the bushes behind the Cirebon District Court and had changed clothes when they were secured.

"He said he came out through the Pancaran Kasih Pancaran, next to the District Court," said Usman.
