JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak asked all TNI AD officers to be visionary and agents of change in advancing the TNI institution.
"Let's be a visionary officer and able to become an agent of change, a driving force for a healthy work culture, and a guard for the fighting spirit of the unit," Maruli said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 22.
This statement was made by Maruli when inaugurating 1,268 youth TNI AD officers consisting of graduates of the Second Wave II Officer Formation Education and Education for the Formation of Special Officers (Diktukpasus) in 2025 at Krida Wiradhika Field, Secapaad Bandung, last Tuesday.
According to Maruli, visionary thinking skills are important for an officer to be able to lead his soldiers in a better direction. The visionary attitude also helps officers in directing troops when carrying out war missions and military operations other than war.
He hopes that, through various materials that have been studied during education, officers can sharpen their strategic thinking skills and become agents of change that advance the Indonesian Army and the Indonesian nation as a whole.
"Successful education without obstacles means proof of hard work and perseverance that should be grateful for and used as motivation to take a higher level of service as an Army officer," said Maruli.
Of the total 1,268 graduate officers, 1,008 graduated from Diktukpa Wave II, consisting of 978 men and 30 personnel from the Women's Army Corps (Kowad). While the other 260 people are graduates of Diktukpasus.
