Health Conditions So The KPK's Reason For Not Detaining Former Chairman Of The East Java DPRD Kusnadi In The East Java Provincial Government Grant Fund Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that Kusnadi had not been detained because he was sick. The former chairman of the East Java DPRD is known to be a suspect in the bribery case of the East Java Province community group (pokmas) grant for the 2019-2022 period.

"It's true, that Kusnadi's brother has even been here (KPK, ed), we have checked with the doctor," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday night, October 21.

Investigators, continued Asep, must have paid attention to the suspect's health before making the detention. "Is he fit for detention and fit to be brought to trial, the first," he said.

"Secondly, if the person concerned is sick, whether the illness is infectious or not, because of course it will be placed in a cell and it will interact with other inmates and it is a risk if such detention is carried out," continued Asep, who also serves as Director of KPK Investigation.

Previously reported, the KPK has announced 21 suspects for alleged bribery in the management of grant funds for the community group (pokmas) of East Java Province in 2019-2022. This case is a development of a hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared Sahat Tua P. Simanjuntak as Deputy Chair of the East Java Provincial DPRD for the 2019-2024 period.

The following are the details of 21 suspects in this case:

As the recipient:

1. KUS (Kusnadi) - Chairman of the East Java Provincial DPRD;

2. US (Anwar Sadad) - Deputy Chairman of the East Java Provincial DPRD;

3. AI (Achmad Iskandar) - Deputy Chairperson of the East Java Provincial DPRD; and

4. BGS (Bagus Wahyudiono) - Staff from the US.

As the giver:

1. MHD (Mahud) - Member of the East Java Provincial DPRD 2019 2024;

2. FA (Fauzan Adima) - Deputy Chairperson of the 2019 2019 2019 2024 Sampang Regency DPRD;

3. JJ (Jon Junaidi) - Deputy Chairman of the Probolinggo Regency DPRD 2019 2024;

4. AH (Ahmad Heriyadi) - Private from Sampang Regency;

5. AA (Ahmad Affandy) - Private from Sampang Regency;

6. AM (Abdul Motollib) - Private from Sampang Regency;

7. MM (Moch Mahrus) - Private from Probolinggo Regency (now member of the 2024 2029) East Java DPRD;

8. AR (A Royan) - Private from Tulungagung;

9. WK (Wawan Kristiawan) - Private from Tulungagung;

10. SUK (Sukar) - Former Village Head from Tulungagung Regency;

11. RWR (Ra Wahid Ruslan) - Private from Bangkalan Regency;

12. MS (Mashudi) - Private from Bangkalan Regency;

13. MF (M Fathullah) - Private from Pasuruan Regency;

14. AY (Achmad Yahya) - Private from Pasuruan Regency;

15. AJ (Ahmad Jailani) - Private from Sumenep Regency;

16. HAS (Hasanuddin) - Private from Gresik Regency (now member of the 2024 2029) East Java DPRD; and

17. JPP (Jodi Pradana Putra) - Private from Blitar Regency.

In this case, Kusnadi is suspected of receiving a fee of 15-20 percent or Rp79.7 billion from the total principal grant of the mind of Rp398.7 billion for four years. The money was then distributed to a number of field coordinators (korlap).

They are Hasanuddin who is a member of the East Java DPRD for the period 2024-2029 and previously a private party from Gresik Regency, East Java; Jodi Pradana Putra as a private party from Blitar Regency, East Java; Sukar who is a former Village Head from Tulungagung Regency, East Java; and Wawan Kristiawan and A. Royan as private parties from Tulungagung.
