Prabowo Welcomes South African President Ramaphosa In Jakarta Today

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 22 at around 08.00 WIB, to make an official visit and bilateral meeting with President Prabowo Subianto.

Based on live broadcast monitoring on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Wednesday, President Ramaphosa arrived using a South African Air Force aircraft.

Arriving on the runway, he was greeted with a ceremony of line-up of honorary troops and cannon fire. Trade Minister Budi Santoso, State Protocol Chief Andy Rachmianto and a number of other officials also welcomed his arrival.

The welcoming atmosphere was also colored by the traditional Indonesian dance performance which was presented to honor the state guest.

After receiving respect and greeting the welcomeers, President Ramaphosa then headed for an official vehicle with the Indonesian and South African flags, leaving Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base.

Quoted by ANTARA, President Ramaphosa is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with President Prabowo at the State Palace this afternoon.

The meeting is expected to discuss efforts to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation relations between the two countries, as well as global issues that are of common interest.
