TANJUNG SELOR North Kalimantan (Kaltara) Police Chief Inspector General Djati Wiyoto Century launched the Samapta Officer Program (Pamapta) in the ranks of the Bulungan Police and other Polres under the Kaltara Police.

"This step is part of the National Police's commitment to provide faster, more responsive, and empathetic public services to the community," said Inspector General Djati, Tuesday, October 21.

The Kaltara Police Chief explained that the presence of Pamapta was a form of improvement of the function of the SPKT Head (Integrated Police Service Center). Now, this role has developed into an operational control officer in the field whose job is to ensure that every community report is handled quickly and measurably.

"Pamapta was present not only to receive reports, but also to come and pick up problems directly from sources reported by the public," said Inspector General Djati.

He added that this change in structure is not just a change of nomenclature, but a transformation of the work culture that places the National Police as a proactive and responsive public servant. In addition, Pamapta was also formed by adhering to the five main principles of police services, namely the speed of response to public reports, attendance among residents as a tangible form of protection.

"Coordination across functions between Criminal Investigation Units, Traffic, Intelligence and Security, and others. Reporting is transparent to maintain public trust and a local wisdom-based approach, respecting the culture and values of the local community," explained Inspector General Djati.

"Pamapta is the new face of the Police who are precise, fast, and oriented towards community needs. The police are no longer waiting for reports to arrive, but go down directly to ensure that problems are handled," he added.

The Kapolda revealed that Pamapta at the Polres level will function as the operational coordinator for cross-units, ensuring that every emergency incident or public complaint gets handled in a short time.

"Pamapta served for a full 24 hours, patrolled, received reports, and went directly to investigate in the field. This is a concrete step by the Police to maintain the public's sense of security," he explained.

He emphasized that this program is also part of the 2025'2045 National Police Grand Strategy, which focuses on operational transformation and increasing public trust.

Through the launch of Pamapta, Kapolda Djati hopes that all ranks in North Kalimantan will further strengthen their commitment as humanist, responsive, and professional public servants.

"Pamapta is a symbol of changing the police who come with their hearts, act quickly, and serve with conscience," concluded the Kapolda.

The launch of Pamapta which took place at the Bulungan Police Headquarters yard and was attended by the Deputy Chief of Police, the main officials of the North Kalimantan Police, the Bulungan Police Chief, and Polri personnel from various units. The inauguration moment was marked by the installation of Pamapta armbands and the symbolic handover of the keys to patrol vehicles to member representatives.
