Bogor City DPRD Chair Joins Environment Minister to Promote Healthy, Green Living

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, accompanied the Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq in a healthy gymnastics activity with PWI Bogor City which was continued by cleaning up the Bogor City square and cleaning up trash at the MBG recipient school, Friday 17 October.

From this activity, Adityawarman considered that Minister Hanif Faisol had conveyed a very important message for residents of Bogor City to live a healthy life while preserving the environment.

"The minister conveyed a message by showing it directly, that we all have to live a healthy life and maintain environmental cleanliness," said Adit.

Furthermore, Adit said that Bogor City already has Bogor City Regional Regulation (Perda) Number 7 of 2023 concerning Environmental Protection and Management Plans for 2023-2053.

So that the Bogor City Government only has to carry out the mandate in the regional regulation to preserve the Bogor City environment in accordance with the Bogor City RPJPD.

"The regulatory instrument already exists, we just have to work together to implement it by pouring it into the APBD program," explained Adit.

On this occasion, Adityawarman also appreciated the Bogor City PWI for conducting consistent Health Friday activities. According to him, this must be continued because it has positive value and the Bogor City DPRD will provide full support for the program.

"We need to appreciate PWI Bogor City friends who have consistently carried out Healthy Friday activities. We at the Bogor City DPRD will also support these activities," concluded Adit.

The Bogor City Regional Leadership (forkopimda) elements were also present, such as the Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, the Bogor City Secretary, Denny Mulyadi, a number of service heads, and thousands of Bogor residents.

Minister of Environment and Forestry, Hanif Faisol conveyed several messages during a clean-up action in the Square area. Hanif said this clean-up action was in accordance with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto who ordered at least one week to carry out two clean-up activities.

Then, Bogor City has two large rivers, namely Ciliwung and Cisadane. For this reason, Hanif asked the Bogor City Government to maintain the cleanliness of its environment in the river.

"In the city of Bogor, there is 700 tons of garbage per day, of which 500 tons are managed by the government and another 200 tons are still scattered on roads and in rivers. So I really hope that the cooperation will protect our environment, keep it clean. Because if these two rivers are full of garbage, it will be affected by the areas downstream, namely Jakarta and its surroundings," he concluded.
