BGN: Red And White Kopdes Becomes The MBG Kitchen Aggregator

JAKARTA - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana said the Red and White Villages Cooperative can become an aggregator or support system for the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in the Free Nutrition Eating (MBG) program.

The SPPG will form demand, create demand. There is a new emerging market and guarantees the purchase of partners from the Nutrition Agency," Dadan said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 17.

"So if possible, in every village or in every area of these cooperatives it will become an aggregator," he said.

Dadan said that by making Kopdes/Kelurahan Merah Putih as aggregators, it is hoped that farmers, breeders, and fishermen in the village can be more coordinated, including in terms of supply of agricultural, livestock and fishery products.

"They are the ones who coordinate farmers, breeders, fishermen to make planting scheduled so that all the supplies are in cooperatives. Now, later the SPPG of the Nutrition Agency will buy it to cooperatives," said Dadan.

He gave an example, one SPPG on average requires at least 5 tons of rice per month. With the presence of the Red and White Kopdes/Kelurahan in the village which acts as an offtaker for village products including rice, it is hoped that the SPPG will be helped by the availability of raw materials they need for MBG.

"So that's what we need later. We will build an ecosystem together with BGN, the Nutrition Agency," said Dadan.

Agreeing, Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono said this synergy could continue and meet the needs needed to support MBG's priority programs.

"Later, we hope that the Village/Kelurahan Cooperative can supply the needs needed by the kitchens or SPPGs in the National Nutrition Agency," said the Minister of Cooperatives Ferry.

Meanwhile, through Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No.9 of 2025 related to the acceleration of the formation of Kopdes involving 18 ministries/agencies, as well as the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2025 related to the Task Force for the Acceleration of the Establishment of the Red and White Kopdes/Kel, the Ministry of Cooperatives has succeeded in launching and legalizing the formation of 80 thousand Red and White Kopdes throughout Indonesia.
