Admits Galian Projects Piles Up At The End Of The Year, Pramono: Often In The Ujung It's Like Learning A Deposit

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that there were indeed many excavation projects that had just been carried out towards the end of the year. So, when construction work began to be carried out simultaneously at various points, there was a buildup that caused complaints from residents because road access was disrupted.

Pramono admitted that this pattern occurred because of the DKI Provincial Government's habit of using budget allocations in development projects that pursue the completion target at the end of the year.

"Yes, I also have to say what it is, indeed the pattern of using our finances, our APBD, it is still often at the end like chasing deposits," Pramono said when met at Cengkareng Hospital, West Jakarta, Thursday, October 16.

One of the things that has recently been in the spotlight is the cable trap work in the Fatmawati area, South Jakarta, which the public complains about for hampering the traffic rate.

"Indeed, the planning has been going on for quite a long time, including the so-called cable trap at Fatmawati, which is now getting the public spotlight. It's not something new," said Pramono.

Therefore, Pramono admitted that he promised to evaluate the pattern of budget use in the APBD next year. Where, acceleration is carried out in the procurement process, and the disbursement of the budget is not tight towards the end of the year.

"Later on for the APBD in 2026, from the start, if necessary, even before, an auction has been carried out, as we did before when the central government, at that time the minister was Mr. Basuki (former Minister of PUPR). So with the same pattern, I will encourage all of them not to be chased at the end of the year," explained Pramono.

For information, the ongoing work at the Fatmawati Street intersection on Jalan Kartini Raya, precisely at the turn of Fatmawati MRT Station, is a speed table construction.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency, Heru Suwono, revealed that the construction of this speed table serves to connect roadside sidewalks with road islands in intersection areas.

"The goal is to lower the speed of vehicles in the intersection turn area and increase the comfort and safety of pedestrians crossing, because the speed table elevation is made equivalent to the sidewalk," said Heru.
