Former KPK Employee Urges BKN To Open TWK Results At KIP Trial

JAKARTA - Former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) urged the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) to open the results of the national insight test (TWK) which made them expelled in 2021.

Chairman of the Indonesia Calling (IM) 57+ Institute Lakso Anindito said the pressure was conveyed by Hotman Tambunan and Ita Khoiriyah as former KPK employees in the inaugural trial of information disputes on Monday, October 13.

The pressure was conveyed because the BKN PPID until now could not explain the confidentiality of the TWK results for the transfer of status.

"At the trial, the BKN PPID representative was also unable to answer clearly the reasons for keeping the document a secret and the specificity of this test only for KPK employees being transferred," Lakso told reporters in a written statement, Monday, October 13.

Lakso also urged President Prabowo Subianto to return 57 former employees to the KPK according to Komnas HAM recommendations for the Ombudsman. This problem should be resolved immediately because they were expelled due to their authority.

According to him, this step could prove President Prabowo's anti-corruption spirit and his seriousness in strengthening the KPK.

"This issue has become a protracted matter without any clarity even though there have been recommendations from the National Human Rights Commission and the Ombudsman," he said.

"Presidents who always repeat serious corruption issues need to take this opportunity seriously with the return of 57 KPK employees," said Lakso.

As a reminder, TWK is the aftermath of the amendment to the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019. There, it was stated that KPK employees had to be state civil servants (ASN).

The implementation was then marked by a number of irregularities. The findings of the Ombudsman, for example, had a backdate or a postponement of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) date between the KPK and BKN.

In addition, BKN called the Ombudsman does not have a measuring instrument, instrument, and assessor to conduct an assessment.

This TWK then knocked out dozens of KPK employees because they did not pass. They include former investigators such as Praswad Nugraha to Novel Baswedan and Yudi Purnomo.
