Today A Number Of Areas Have The Potential For Rain Accompanied By Hot Temperatures Reaches 35 Degrees

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that there is the potential for rain with various intensities in a number of areas accompanied by high temperatures on Monday, October 13.

BMKG forecaster Zen Putri explained that it is predicted that light rain can fall in the areas of Banda Aceh, Medan, Padang, Tanjung Pinang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Palembang and Bandar Lampung as well as rain accompanied by lightning in Pangkal Pinang and foggy weather or fog in Pekanbaru.

"On the island of Java, it is predicted that air will escape in Surabaya and there will be the potential for light rain in Serang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Yogyakarta," Zen explained as quoted by ANTARA.

Meanwhile, in the areas of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Putri explained that there is the potential for thick cloudy weather in Denpasar and cloudy in Kupang and light rain in Mataram.

In the Kalimantan region, rain accompanied by lightning is predicted to occur in Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya and Banjarmasin as well as light rain intensity in Samarinda.

For Sulawesi Island, cloudy weather is predicted by BMKG to occur in Manado, thick cloudy in Makassar and Kendari, light rain in Gorontalo and Palu as well as moderate rain in Mamuju.

In eastern Indonesia, Putri explained that cloudy weather is predicted by BMKG to be experienced in Manokwari and Ambon, light rain in Ternate, Sorong, Nabire, Jayawijaya, Jayapura and Merauke.

He also warned that the maximum high temperature in a number of cities ranged from 27 to 35 degrees Celsius.

"For those who live in Serang, Surabaya Semarang, Yogyakarta and its surroundings, be aware of the predicted temperature ranging from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, especially those who are active outside the room," he said.
