JAKARTA - The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) evacuated the body of a middle-aged woman on the riverbank of Jalan Kerapu, Ancol Village, Pademangan District, North Jakarta (Jakut) on Saturday afternoon, October 11.

"We evacuated the body of an unidentified woman with an estimated age of 50," said Head of North Jakarta Gulkarmat and Thousand Islands Gatot Sulaeman.

He said from witness testimony, while doing activities around the location and accidentally looking inside the river there was a floating body.

After that, the witness asked for help from residents at the location and tried to move and detained the body on the banks of the Ciliwung River's children so that they would not be swept away by the current.

The witness said he saw the corpse as a mother - an elderly mother who was about 50 years old and her condition had turned blue.

The witness then reported the matter to the Ancol Village Fire Task Force to ask for assistance in handling it.

"We sent three personnel and at 16.28 WIB, the bodies had been evacuated and put in a body bag," he said.
