Gerindra Affirms The Importance Of Free Nutrition Eating Programs

JAKARTA The government pays great attention to the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program which is one of the national priorities. This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, while attending the National Conference of Women's Indonesia Raya (PIRA) in Jakarta, Friday, October 10.

Muzani emphasized that the MBG program is not just providing food to school children, but has a big mission to build superior and healthy Indonesian human resources.

MBG not only improves the nutrition of the next generation. MBG has noble values so that Indonesian human resources are qualified and competitive. This program can also stimulate regional economies and reduce future health burdens," said Muzani.

He admitted that in the implementation process there were still a number of obstacles in the field. However, the government does not close its eyes and is committed to continuing to find the best solution.

There are several notes and the government does not cover up this. The government will continue to improve every problem faced in the field. Currently, many students and students are being helped. Imagine those who used to go to school without breakfast, can now enjoy nutritious food, "he explained.

In addition to having an impact on children's health, the MBG program also stimulates the economy of small communities. According to Muzani, many housewives in the village are now getting new income from the provision of local foodstuffs, food stalls becoming more crowded, and vegetable sellers are selling more.

"MBG has a double effect. Children are healthy, the community's economy is moving," said Muzani.

He also added that 1 government against MBG is in line with efforts to strengthen other programs such as Public Schools, Garuda Schools, food self-sufficiency, and energy as a foundation for Advanced Indonesia. Therefore, PIRA is encouraged to continue to innovate and support national priority programs.
