JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has begun to recalculate the budget allocation of each work program next year from the 2026 budget year which is certain to decline.
This is due to the nominal deduction of transfer funds from the central government to Jakarta amounting to IDR 15 trillion.
The initial plan, next year's APBD will be set at IDR 95 trillion, with a portion of transfer funds such as profit-sharing funds (DBH), general allocation funds (DAU), and special allocation funds (DAK) projected at IDR 26 trillion.
With the new cut set by the Ministry of Finance, the central transfer funds to Jakarta are only IDR 11 trillion and the DKI Regional Budget for the 2026 budget year will decrease to IDR 79.06 trillion.
From this cut, Assistant for the Economy and Finance of the DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Suharini Eliawati emphasized that her party is still optimistic that development in Jakarta will not be disrupted as much as possible.
"Later, the narrative that we will build to the entire people of Jakarta, the narrative is like this, 'Let's face 2026 with optimism'," Suharini told reporters, Wednesday, October 8.
Suharini explained that Pramono gave directions to his staff to be more creative in seeking funding for work programs next year.
One of them is by increasing regional income from the private sector, starting from cooperation in development programs to withdrawing compensation funds from building floor coefficients (KLB).
"We must create creative financing to carry out activities that are currently increasing our services to the community," said Suharini.
