Police Arrest 34 Children In West Banjarmasin Allegedly In A Brawl After The Alcohol Party And Isap Lem Fox

BANJARMASIN - Unit 2 of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the West Banjarmasin Police, Banjarmasin Police, South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel), arrested 34 minors suspected of being involved in a brawl.

Before taking action, the dozens of children reportedly had a 99 percent alcohol party and smoked glue fox.

"Seeing dozens of children gathering and drinking parties, residents around Jalan Yos Sudarso Gang 66 Water Complex Former, Telaga Biru Village, West Banjarmasin District, feeling restless and reporting to the Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the West Banjarmasin Police, Iptu Indra Permadi in Banjarmasin, Antara, Sunday, October 5.

After the report was received on Sunday morning at around 02.00 WITA, the Unit 2 Criminal Investigation Team immediately went to the location. Arriving at the scene, officers found a crowd of children partying at liquor.

Seeing the arrival of the police, they tried to escape. However, officers assisted by residents managed to surround and secure everything without anyone escaping.

At the location, officers found the remaining 95 percent alcohol, used fox glue, and one 120 centimeter-long sickle sharp weapon that is suspected to be used for attack.

"We found a sharp arithmetic type weapon, but no one acknowledged its ownership," said Indra representing the West Banjarmasin Police Chief Kompol M. Noor Chaidir.

Furthermore, the 34 minors together with evidence were brought to the West Banjarmasin Police for examination and guidance. The police also summoned their respective parents to sign a statement so that their children would not repeat similar actions.

“Kami imbau para orang tua agar selalu mengawasi anak-anaknya ketika berada di luar rumah, supaya tidak ikut-ikutan dalam tindakan pidana. Bila masyarakat menemukan aksi seperti ini, segera laporkan dan akan kami tindak tegas,” tegas Iptu Indra Permadi.

"We urge parents to always supervise their children when they are outside the house, so they don't participate in criminal acts. If people find an action like this, immediately report it and we will take firm action," said Iptu Indra Permadi.
