JAKARTA - One of the five prisoners of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of North Sumatra Province who escaped since Sunday, May 16, has turned himself in on Monday, May 17.

"One person has turned himself in," BNNP Narcotics Eradication Chief Sumut Kombes Sempana Sitepu told reporters, in Medan, reported antara.

He called the prisoner who turned himself in named Muhammad Junaidi, residents of Jalan Baung, Dusun Masjid, Sei Buah Keras Village, Medang Deras District, Batu Bara Regency.

Currently, BNN Sumut continues to search for four other prisoners, namely Zulfikar, Rahmat Hidayatulloh aka Isbandi, Irwanda, and Marzuki Ahmad.

Against the four other prisoners who are still on the run, Sempana asked to turn himself in immediately. "Otherwise we will give measured decisive action," he said.

Earlier, five BNNP Sumut prisoners reportedly escaped from a holding cell on Sunday, May 16 at around 1:30 a.m.

They escaped by pouring chilli water on the guards in the custody room.
