East Java Inspector General Nanang Avianto stated that until now the police are still investigating the cause of the collapse of the prayer room building at the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, Sidoarjo.

"This must be seen from the beginning everything. From the process at the time of the collapse we have documented, we will take the documentation. And this must reach the whole investigation and we must also have guidance from a team of construction experts," said the East Java Police Chief, Friday, October 3.

According to him, if you don't look at the development process from the bottom to the top, the results of the investigation will not be maximized.

However, this cannot be handled alone, so the police must be assisted by a team of experts, especially those who understand development construction.

"Well, this is what we have to see later, but what is clear is that at this time it is a humanitarian issue," said the Kapolda.

Currently, his party is collecting data on victims of the collapse of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, which is divided into three clusters, namely students, pesantren administrators, and development workers.

"Meanwhile, data collection first and we have also collected data, focus on humanity," he said.

Of all the data collected, said Nanang, there were 53 victims who had not been found.

Therefore, the search process will continue to be carried out by prioritizing caution in work, especially those using heavy equipment to remove collapsed building materials.

"Of course it is not arbitrary (in looking for) so we involve experts regarding construction and buildings, from ITS, PUPR, so when we carry out this transfer, we must also be careful because there are still several bodies there," he said.
