Gus Irfan Asks The KPK To Accompany The Implementation Of Hajj And Umrah: Must Be Transparent According To President Prabowo's Mandate

JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf or Gus Irfan asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to provide assistance in the implementation of the pilgrimage and Umrah. He wants the entire process to be far from corrupt practices as stated by President Prabowo Subianto.

This was conveyed by Gus Irfan after holding an audience with the KPK leadership at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, October 3.

"We want to always get assistance from the KPK to ensure that all processes that we carry out are in accordance with the rules as mandated by the President that the Hajj process must be carried out in an accountable and transparent manner," Gus Irfan told reporters.

Gus Irfan said that his party had given an explanation regarding the implementation process and the Hajj business in the country.

He also had time to hand over the names of several prospective officials to occupy positions in the newly formed ministry.

"Tracking so that there are no problems in the future at the Ministry of Hajj," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the KPK Cahya H. Harefa said the meeting went well and there were a number of messages conveyed by the leadership to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. One of them is to create a system that is transparent and accountable in the future.

"KPK also said that the KPK had conducted studies, studies and even investigations related to this Hajj activity," said Cahya.

"Hopefully in the future the process related to the management and management of our Hajj pilgrims will be getting better day by day. So in principle the KPK strongly supports prevention preparation efforts and later it will also support its implementation," he continued.

Cahya explained that the KPK would carry out socialization to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

"In order to continue to be reminded in particular, later when it is close to implementation, we are reminded once again that this is a task that has been financed by the state so that it is hoped that it will not accept other things that are not legal," he concluded.
