Can't Just Fly, Illegal Drones Are Banned By The Police Antidrone Team In Mandalika

The ManDALIKA antidrone team at the National Police Headquarters managed to block a number of illegal drones that were flown on the first day of the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Friday, October 3.

The Head of the Antidrone Task Force at the National Police Headquarters, Ipda Muhammad Rizki Fitaloka, said that his party had been monitoring and monitoring since the beginning of the activity. As a result, several drones were flown without permission.

"We have detected several indications that the drone being flown is taking video. But we have taken action not to approach the Mandalika Circuit area," Rizki said as quoted by Antara.

Rizki emphasized that his party did not take steps to bring down the drone, but instead looked for operators to reprimand directly.

"There is nothing to drop. We are looking for the pilot so as not to fly the drone into the Mandalika Circuit area. That's all," he said.

To maintain security against the threat of wild drones, the National Police Headquarters deployed 10 personnel stationed at two points, namely the Bukit 360 Post and the Bukit Jokowi Post. Each post consists of five personnel.

"Security has started two days ago. We are also coordinating with the ITDC Mandalika team, the Indonesian Komdigi, and the Dorna drone team. Because only Dorna drones are allowed to fly," Rizki explained.

Previously, the NTB Police held an apple for the Mandalika Rinjani 2025 Operations troops as a form of security commitment. During the operation, 3,037 joint personnel were deployed, consisting of 2,580 NTB Police personnel, 266 aid personnel from the National Police Headquarters, 500 security personnel from government agencies, and 191 TNI personnel.

Security is divided into three zones, namely west, center, and east, with seven task forces including preventive, preemptive, and enforcement measures. The National Police Headquarters also prepares technology support, including the antidrone system and air monitoring by helicopter.
