Head Of Rarampadende Village In Sigi Corruption Village Fund, Used To Pay Debt And Kitchen Needs

SIGI The District Attorney's Office (Kejari) of Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, has named the Head of Rarampadende Village, West Dolo District, with the initials AS, as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of misuse of village funds for the 2023 and 2024 fiscal years.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Sigi Resky District Attorney's Office, Andri Ananda, said investigators for special crimes had detained the US after determining the status of a suspect.

"Detention was carried out following the determination of the person concerned as a suspect in the alleged corruption in the misuse of Rarampadende village funds," said Resky when met by media crews in Maku Village, Antara, Friday, October 3.

The US is known to be active as a village head. According to investigators, in the implementation of the use of village funds, various forms of irregularities were found, ranging from budget expenditures that were not in accordance with the realization, illegal expenditure accountability, to fictitious activities and work that were not carried out.

In addition, it was also found that there was a shortage of work volume and spending that did not meet specifications. In fact, some village funds are allegedly used for personal gain.

"The results of the investigation also revealed the use of some village budgets to pay debts, kitchen needs, and other personal expenses," said Resky.

The US was detained based on a warrant for the detention of the Head of the Sigi District Attorney's Office Number Print-02/P.2.20/Fd.2/10/2025. He will be placed in the Palu Class II A Detention Center for 20 days, starting October 1, 2025.

Currently, investigators are still waiting for the results of the calculation of state losses that are being completed by the Inspectorate of Sigi Regency.

Meanwhile, the village funds of Rarampadende in 2023 were recorded at IDR 1.03 billion and in 2024 it was IDR 1.41 billion.
