PPP Kubu Mardiono Ratified By Government, Kubu Agus Against And Challenges Menkum Supratman

JAKARTA - The dualism of the management of the United Development Party (PPP) is entering a new chapter. The government through the Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas, officially approved the management of the Mardiono camp PPP.

However, Agus Suparmanto's camp rejected and called the decision legally flawed. The chairman of the PPP Advisory Council for the Agus Suparmanto camp, M Romahurmuziy, emphasized that the ratification decree issued by the Ministry of Law did not meet the requirements.

This is as stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 34 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Registration of the Establishment of Legal Entities, Amendments to the Basic Budget and Household Budget, as well as Changes in the Management of Political Parties.

"The decree is legally flawed because it does not go through the eight points required by Permenkumham 34/2017," said Rommy, Thursday, October 2.

Rommy highlighted the sixth point in the regulation, namely the obligation to have a Certificate of Not in the Internal Dispute of Political Parties from the Party Court. According to him, the document was never issued so the decree should be null and void.

In addition, he said that Mardiono's management decree ignored the results of the PPP Alim Ulama National Gathering on September 8, 2025 at the KHAS Kempek Islamic Boarding School, Cirebon. In the forum, the majority of PPP scholars throughout Indonesia refused Mardiono to continue his leadership at the 2025 PPP X Congress.

The Agus Suparmanto camp is committed to taking legal and political steps to reject this ratification. Rommy also challenged the Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman to prove the legality of the decree.

"If there is no Party Court Letter as required, then it should be suspected that the Minister of Law and Human Rights committed negligence in the issuance of the decree," he added.

This PPP chaos is predicted to continue considering that both camps both claim legitimacy ahead of the 2025 PPP X Congress.
