Allegedly Depression Due To Illness Never Healed, Elderly Man Falls Free From The 30th Floor Of An Apartment In Pademangan

JAKARTA - Allegedly experiencing depression because his illness did not recover, a 60-year-old man (elderly) was desperate to end his life in a tragic way. The victim allegedly jumped from the balcony of his room on the 30th floor of an apartment in West Pademangan, North Jakarta, Thursday, October 2, 2025, evening.

"So he has been sick for a long time, it's been 3 months, he has complications. After being treated, he was hospitalized for one month. Then he came home, only how many days at the house. When his wife wanted to push the medicine, he had jumped from the 30th floor," said Ijah, one of the residents at the location told reporters.

Meanwhile, the victim's body fell from the 30th floor and landed on the roof of the Toyota Avanza car which was parked in the apartment area.

The speeding landing of the victim's body caused the roof of the car to be crushed. Sadly, the victim's body was also trapped in the wrecked Toyota Avanza car.

The victim suffered a number of injuries to his body as a result of being hit hard. The victim died on the spot.

"He jumped in the car, Avanza. The hood collapsed. His hands were broken, his face was shattered, his chest was all torn, his feet were also. (the body) In the car, it collapsed right on the steering wheel, the upper cabin broke," said Ijah.

The victim is known to live in an apartment unit alone with his wife. He has no child of his wife who lives with him at this time.

"It's the same which now has no children, so it's just the two of them. His wife is already (aged) in her 50s, there are no children. It's just the two of them. His wife is not working, it's also not working," he said.

Meanwhile, the apartment unit continued to be paid by rent to the victim.

"He also thinks that his illness has not healed, he is stressed," he said.

Meanwhile, the police officers who arrived at the location immediately checked the crime scene and identified the victim's body. Then the car that became the landing site was immediately fitted with a police line.

The apartment residents also continued to crowd to witness the incident. The evacuation process was only carried out at around 17.00 WIB by the INAFIS team from the North Jakarta Metro Police.

When evacuated, blood was seen pouring heavily from the elderly forehead area. The police immediately rushed to put the body into a body bag and were taken to the Central Jakarta RSCM using an ambulance. Meanwhile, the case is handled by the Pademangan Police.
