Not Yet Having A Formula To Prevent Terrorism, Soetta Airport Authority Is Elected By BNPT

JAKARTA - The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) has asked the Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) authorities to formulate a system to anticipate the threat of terrorism as an effort to strengthen prevention in the air transportation sector.

Head of BNPT RI Commissioner General of Police Eddy Hartono advised the authorities to make standard operating procedures regarding the anticipation of terrorism threats if they do not have them. This was revealed during an audience with the Head of the Soetta Airport Authority in Tangerang, Banten, Tuesday, September 30.

"Later we will provide support. Maybe in the future BNPT together with the authorities can formulate various mitigation measures as an anticipatory effort," said Komjen Pol. Eddy, as confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday, was confiscated by Antara.

The Head of BNPT also invited the Soetta Main Class I Airport authority to continue to improve collaboration considering that the airport is one of the vital national objects prone to the threat of terrorism.

In addition, it is said that the synergy between BNPT and the Main Class I Airport Authority is important to carry out as a form of implementation of BNPT Regulation Number 3 of 2020.

The BNPT regulation regulates guidelines for protecting strategic vital facilities and infrastructure and public facilities in preventing criminal acts of terrorism.

Meanwhile, Head of the Main Class I Airport Authority Soetta Putu Eka Cahyadhi welcomed and appreciated the initiation given by BNPT.

He considered the importance of the collaboration of all stakeholders in order to improve security and service at the airport, which is the face of the nation.

"This airport is the face of the nation and of course collaboration with stakeholders is important," said Putu on the same occasion.

Therefore, he thanked and asked for directions and instructions from BNPT for various things that could be followed up for the future.
