GORONTALO - The Profession and Security Division of the Gorontalo Police has prepared severe sanctions for members involved in the police stabbing police case at a nightclub in Pohuwato Regency, Gorontalo.

The Head of Propam of the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Pol. Afri Darmawan said he received a report that on Sunday morning, two members of the Pohuwato Police with the initials Aipda S and Bripka I were consuming alcoholic beverages at a nightclub.

"The alleged perpetrators of Aipda S and the victim were Bripka I. Both were under the influence of alcoholic drinks and were involved in an argument that led to a stabbing," Afri said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 1.

When the argument took place, it was suspected that Aipda S was offended and took a machete from his car and abused Bripka I.

Menurut laporan terbaru yang diterima, Bripka I tengah menjalani perawatan medis di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Polda Gorontalo dan kondisinya sudah mulai membaik, sementara Aipda S telah diamankan di bagian Propam Polres Pohuwato.

To speed up the process of examining Aipda S, he has deployed a team from the Gorontalo Police Bidpropam, and is targeted to be tried next week.

He said, if referring to the police professional code of ethics, both of them were deemed to have violated, because they went to nightclubs and consumed alcoholic beverages, so both of them would still be given sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations.

Especially for Aipda S himself, a police professional code of ethics will be applied and criminal sanctions can also be imposed.

In connection with this case, as the Head of Propam of the Gorontalo Police, he conveyed a firm appeal to all Polri personnel in Gorontalo, not to do things that could tarnish the reputation and good image of the National Police institution.

"Regarding this case, I have ordered personnel to speed up the inspection process until the trial is held against both of them. I also warn members of the National Police in Gorontalo to always carry out their duties and responsibilities properly in accordance with applicable norms and regulations, avoiding behavior that damages the name of the National Police institution," he added.
