President Trump's Implementation Of Gaza Proposals Could Affect Ukraine's Conflict

JAKARTA - The implementation of President of the United States Donald Trump's plans for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and ending the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, could create momentum that would help realize peace in other regions of the Middle East and also affect the settlement of the Ukraine crisis, said US President Steve Witkoff's special envoy.

The White House on Monday announced a proposal of 20 points by President Trump to end the war in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian disaster that has occurred.

"The President (Trump) wants to see peace as a whole. It's not just about Gaza; it's about how it can seeps into all other regions of the Middle East, and what it will achieve, maybe even seeps into Russia and Ukraine," he told Fox News in an interview, commenting on the plans proposed by US authorities. , reported by TASS September 30.

Witkoff added that President Trump's initiative was supported by Persian Gulf countries and European countries.

Previously, the White House published a plan to resolve the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The document calls for a complete cessation of hostilities and release of hostages detained by Hamas within 72 hours.

In addition, the document proposes the transfer of the bag area to external administration for the transition period. During this transition period, residents of the enclave will be given the opportunity to leave and return.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in a press conference with President Trump after a meeting at the White House, supporting the US President's plan to end military operations in Gaza.
