JAKARTA - The PPA Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim continues to explore the motives of the suspect MA alias Andre (29), a husband who has the heart to burn his wife SNC (31) and M (50) in-laws in the Cakung area, East Jakarta.

As a result of this incident, SNC died after undergoing intensive care.

The motive for the perpetrator was to burn his wife because of a trivial matter. The victim did not make instant noodles. However, it turned out that there was another motive so that the perpetrator had the heart to burn his wife.

"Another reason is because the suspect is jealous of his wife," said Head of PPA East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Sri Yatmini when confirmed, Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

In fact, from the results of the deepening of investigators from the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim PPA Unit, it was the suspect who often had an affair. But he accused his wife of cheating.

"Alibi is like that, even though the perpetrator is an affairster. It was the suspect who cheated on him," he said.

Then, the suspect also committed acts of physical violence against his mother-in-law because he tried to intervene during the commotion between the perpetrator and his wife.

"The suspect is threatened with the death penalty. He was charged with Article 44 paragraphs 2 and 3 of the PKDRT Law, Article 340 of the Criminal Code related to premeditated murder and or Article 351 paragraphs 2 and 3," he said.
