National Police Hospital Reveals Wounds On Of An 8-Year-Old Girl In Penjaringan, From Head To Ribs

JAKARTA - The Kramat Jati National Police Hospital in East Jakarta has released the results of a forensic examination of the body of a girl identified as AR (8) found in a boarding house on Arwana Pejagalan Street, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, on Sunday, September 21.

"The body, identified as AR (8), arrived at the National Police Hospital on Sunday at 5:42 a.m. WIB. The examination was conducted that same day, starting at 8:15 a.m. WIB," said the Head of the National Police Hospital's Medical and Research Division, Senior Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi, at the Kramat Jati National Police Hospital in East Jakarta on Wednesday, September 24.

He stated that the body was found in a state of decomposition and contained maggots. Furthermore, the body's face appeared drier, and there was an open wound on the head.

"The body was already in a state of decomposition. We found traces (injuries/wounds) on the right and left sides of the neck, as well as an open wound on the top of the head with blood seeping into the bone," Fauzi explained.

The examination also revealed a protrusion on the front of the left rib.

"So, on the front of the left rib, we found a protruding rib with a rough surface, which is suspected to be due to the bone healing process," said Fauzi.

Information regarding the discovery of the body of a girl with the initials AR (8) in a boarding room on Arwana Pejagalan Street, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, on Sunday at around 12:00 a.m. WIB.

Previously, the Penjaringan Metro Police had questioned seven witnesses to uncover the death of the girl with the initials AR (8), who was found in a boarding room on Arwana Street, Pejagalan Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta, on Sunday, September 21.

"We questioned five witnesses, as well as the parents of the victim, S (44), and the victim's mother, MKR," said Penjaringan Metro Police Chief, AKBP Agus Ady Wijaya.

It is known that AR lives with her mother, identified as MKR (35), in a room on the third floor of a women-only boarding house on Arwana Pejagalan Street, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta.

The three-story shophouse has six rooms. Three are on the ground floor and three are on the second floor.

The police are currently coordinating with the North Jakarta Metro Police Identification Team to inspect and process the initial crime scene (TKP).
