Woman Swimming At Monas Horse Statue Water Roundabout Allegedly ODGJ

JAKARTA - A woman is suspected of having a mental disorder aka ODGJ swimming in the Monas horse statue roundabout, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

The woman wore a patterned white t-shirt. The perpetrator initially washed his feet and then got down and bathed in the pool water. In fact, the perpetrator swam in the pool for 15 minutes.

The incident was recorded by a passing motorist and went viral on social media. The action of the woman suspected of being ODGJ who swam in the pool was finally discovered by the park officers.

The woman suspected of being ODGJ then came out of the pool of fountain sheaves and went towards Bank Indonesia (BI).

Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP, Satriadi Gunawan, confirmed the incident. Satriadi explained that the woman was suspected of having a mental disorder.

"It is suspected that he had a mental disorder. He swam for about 15 minutes, then the park officers chased him away," said Satriadi, Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

After being reprimanded, the woman immediately went up from the pool and left the location.

Gambir Police Chief, Kompol Rezeki R Respati confirmed that the perpetrator had a mental disorder. The perpetrator was initially in the Horse Statue pool.

Then when the park officer reprimanded him, the perpetrator actually walked towards the fountain roundabout pool and returned to swimming.

"But only for a moment then he went ashore and walked towards BI," he said.

Meanwhile, according to witness testimony to the police, the perpetrator is known to have a mental disorder.

"According to witnesses, it is estimated that ODGJ," he said.
