JAKARTA - Malaysia expressed deep concern over the veto carried out at the United Nations Security Council (DK PBB).
The Veto by the United States (US) blocked a resolution calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, as well as the lifting of restrictions on humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Kuala Lumpur, on Friday, stressed that the veto would only make Israel even more daring to continue its genocide and destruction in the occupied Palestinian Territories.
Reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 19, Malaysia reaffirms its steadfast support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian State, and will continue to work closely with the international community in realizing peace and justice for the Palestinian people.
As previously reported, the United States has again vetoed a UN DK resolution draft calling for a ceasefire and the release of all hostages still detained in the Gaza Strip.

In the vote which took place on Thursday local time, 14 other UN DK members approved the draft resolution.
The draft, drawn up by 10 non-permanent members of the UN DK, demands the enactment of an "unconditional, and permanent ceasefire in Gaza" and reiterated calls for all hostages still being detained by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, to be released immediately.
The draft also urges Israel to lift all restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and ensure smooth distribution to civilians in the Palestinian enclave.
The US Veto of the draft resolution to end Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip this time is the umpteenth time. In June, the US vetoed a similar draft resolution.
